What needs to be in order on your side (and we help you configure it during activation): a clear legal basis for data processing, an updated privacy policy that mentions WhatsApp and the use of AI, an initial message that informs the customer that the conversation may be assisted by an automated agent, and a signed Data Processing Agreement.
For segmented commercial campaigns you need the customer's explicit opt-in (Information Society Services Law, Art. 21). For operational communications (appointment reminder, service-ready notification) opt-in is not required. Engrana separates the two so the business owner does not have to think about it.
